About Trini Luau

Trini Luau is the brainchild of celebrated chef, Brian Danclair, a culinary innovator who embarked upon an experience that would blend his mastery in the kitchen with his passion for Carnival and by extension, Trinbagonian culture. With London's Notting Hill Carnival as the backdrop for his concept, the Trini Luau started with a bang, bringing together a new experience in the Carnival arena, one that would prove to be a winning formula in the years that followed.

Chef Danclair's Nouvelle Caribbean Cuisine has been the mainstay of the Trini Luau, the foundation upon which all other elements are added, blended and served to satisfy the demanding taste buds of Trini Luau's clientele. The Trini Luau annual event sets the benchmark for upmarket Caribbean events during the Notting Hill Carnival season, positioning itself to work harmoniously with like-minded industry players to exceed expectations year on year. We provide a high end product, which sets our event apart from the rest. Our focus is on quality, a passion of its founder and an inherited drive by all who get involved!

The event, since inception, has also been Brian Danclair's way of giving something back to his homeland, Trinidad & Tobago, in the form of charitable donations to local orphanages and charities alike, a contribution that is not easily matched by other event promoters in London. As such, Trini Luau ensures that the event is of the highest calibre, encouraging members of the Caribbean embassies, Caribbean promoters, London restaurateurs and a diverse network of dedicated people to come out and support not only a fabulous Carnival event, but also the charities involved.

In its exoticism, Trini Luau maintains a commitment to creating a solid base for events of its kind. It's not just about the music, mas, melée, but about understanding the developing cultures, the evolving role of West Indians in Europe and providing a platform of cultural expression that will enrich the Caribbean Diaspora in years to come.
